International Conference on Emerging Trends in Nanomaterials Science & Technology
The International Conference on Emerging Trends in Nanomaterials Science & Technology (ICETNMST - 2017) scheduled to be held from 4th to 6thJanuary, 2017 at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagaland, Chumukedima, Nagaland, India has wide scopes in different horizons. The aim of the conference is
to bring together International communities (Professionals, Scientists, Scholars, stake holders from academia, government sectors, industry and other organizations) and to establish coordination among them for extensive research collaborations. The conference endeavors to discuss and ponder upon new and exciting advances, challenges and prospects in the advancement of Nanoscience and Technology, covering fields from theory and experiment to applications of advanced materials and Nanostructured materials. This conference will provide platform for many young researchers and students in India and abroad to learn the advancement in the field of Nanomaterials Science. The scientific program of the conference will consist of plenary/keynote/invited talks by eminent researchers from around the world.
About the Institute
National Institute of Technology Nagaland (NIT Nagaland) was established during the year 2009 by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The Institute is one among 31 NITs which falls under the ambit of the "Institute of National Importance". NIT Nagaland is located at Chumukedima, about 14 kilometers from Dimapur, Nagaland. The campus is well connected through all means of communication. At present there are three undergraduate courses namely Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering and three postgraduate courses namely Power Systems Engineering, VLSI Systems, Computer Science and Engineering and one Integrated Dual Degree B. S. M. S. Programme on Materials Science, inclusive of Ph.D. studies.
About the Dimapur City
The State of Nagaland situated in the North-East Region of India is well known worldwide as "Land of Festivals". Dimapur is the major commercial hub of Nagaland State. Besides being the land of festivals, Nagaland falls under one of the biodiversity hotspots of the world. Nature's bounty and its beauty coupled with the indigenous peace loving, charming, hospitable Naga culture open up a whole new world for the people from within and outside India. The city has good road, rail and air connectivity with various major metropolitan cities in India. Apart from these, the rich historic background of Dimapur associated with Kachari dynasty that existed before the 13th century AD, also attracts the tourists. Reminiscences of the glory of this kingdom can still be found on the ruins those are scattered in and around the town.
